​​Lemonade Day

In June of 2010, the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT), Maffe Foundation, East Hartford ChildPlan, Inc., and Goodwin College, sponsored Lemonade Day in East Hartford, CT for the very first time!

Lemonade Day is an annual city-wide event that is designed to teach youth ages K-12 how to start, own and operate their own lemonade business.  Through a fun, interactive curriculum, participants are trained in the fundamentals of sound business and financial management.  Youth learn how to create budgets, secure investors, select a site, purchase supplies, serve customers, set profit-making goals, re-pay investors and give back to their community.

Annual Golf Tournament​

In its 10th year, the Maffe Foundation Golf Tournament is the foundation's largest fundraiser. Friends, family, and supporters come out for a day of golf to benefit the children of our community.
